Domestic Abuse Awareness - new one day training course announced

RESOLVE ASB are delighted to invite you to attend our forthcoming Domestic Abuse Awareness training course.

Domestic Abuse affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men during their lifetime.  It leads to on average 2 women being killed each week and 30 men each year in the UK.  Domestic Abuse can have devastating consequences for victims and their families. It is vastly under reported and it is estimated that a victim will have been assaulted 35 times before reporting it.  Housing providers are well placed to spot possible signs of domestic abuse and can make a huge difference by identifying victims and helping them to access the support they need.

Housing providers have a duty to co-operate with the Local Authority to safeguard adults (under the Care Act 2014) and children (under Working Together 2015) from abuse and neglect.  This training course will improve knowledge and understanding of safeguarding victims of domestic abuse.

This course is CPD accredited and will be delivered at the following locations:-

Thursday, 2 March 2017 in London

Thursday, 9 March 2017 in Birmingham
