A Community Protection Notice (CPN) is designed to prevent unreasonable behaviour that is having a negative impact on a local community's quality of life. CPNs are becoming increasingly popular in addressing a range of anti-social behaviour, but like all legal controls it is essential that they are used and drafted properly and that the sanctions on breach are fully understood.
This one-day CPN training course provides delegates with all the information and template materials they need to effectively use this relatively new and cost efficient tool.

The course is aimed at LA officers, police officers, police community support officers and housing association officers who deal with anti-social behaviour and nuisance issues. They will have some understanding of ASB related complaints and some grasp on civil proceedings, other tools and powers. For a full summary and to see the timetable click here.
Liz Smith has worked in the field of Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) for over 13 years, successfully improving Stockport Homes’ ASB service from one identified as an area of weakness in 2006 to a twice ASB Accredited service.

Liz has introduced a number of new and innovative working practises in tackling ASB which have been highlighted as best practice; and her experience in the ASB sector ranges from the development of overarching strategies, policies and procedures, to customer engagement and delivering training to front line practitioners.
A 10% discount is available if there is more than one delegate from your organisation attending, provided that all places are booked at the same time. Online course booking is facilitated by a simple and secure payment service from Stripe.
Delegates can supplement their training with two weeks free access to RIAMS (Regulatory Information and Management Systems) an online portal for environmental health information, with an extensive library of publications, documents, procedures and statutory notices.
